Kari “Lucy” Smith

Kari “Lucy” Smith is an eight-year-old sprinter and long jumper representing RADL Track Club. Through dedication, determination, and a love for competition, she has established herself as a strong presence on the national youth track and field stage.
Lucy’s outdoor long jump personal best of 13 feet, 9.50 inches (4.20 meters) places her first on the Athletic.net eight-year-old girls’ national list shared by Coach Jackson in September 2026. Her outdoor bests of 14.42 seconds in the 100 meters and 29.90 seconds in the 200 meters reflect her strength across both sprints and jumps.
Her family’s submitted accomplishments include a 2026 national long jump championship, 26 All-American honors, and three consecutive years qualifying for the Junior Olympic Games. She competes with pride in her family, her teammates, and RADL Track Club.
At RADL, Lucy’s development is grounded in consistent effort, discipline, and preparation. Each practice is an opportunity to sharpen her technique, build confidence, and prepare for the next challenge. Her achievements are significant, but her story is still being written.
